This forever
Loving you is like believing in god:
all the trust, but little evidence.
To live with a tiny voice of doubt
in the rational part of the brain.
But then there are moments
where holiness is sealed in glory,
and in these moments it’s impossible to doubt.
To believe in the intouchable
demands bravery and determination.
I did my best to be brave and determined.
Did my best to do miracles,
to be a miracle
Like Moses who split the sea in half
to walk through with his people to the promised land.
but for us there is no promised land,
and we could never split the sea in half
to meet in the middle.
The tiny voice of doubt
in the rational part of the brain
was right all along,
and loving you was like losing my faith:
It left a void in my heart.
